Deborah M. Gage

President & Chief Executive Officer

Deb Gage is a proven business transformer, having built her career as an entrepreneur founding and leading healthcare technology companies including operational and leadership experience in start-up and growth businesses in the analytics, financial and clinical sectors of healthcare IT.

As President and CEO at Medecision, Deb oversees the Company’s mission to lead the digital transformation of healthcare through consumer engagement solutions that help health plans and care delivery organizations manage and care for their members, patients and caregivers.

Under her leadership, Medecision has evolved since its beginnings as a powerful care management workflow engine for health plans, into a market-leading provider of big data, visualization, workflow and engagement solutions, as noted by Gartner and IDC. Recently, Medecision acquired a boutique consulting business (Aveus) to help the company’s clients transform their own models and operations as well. In 2017, Medecision acquired the AxisPoint Health platform business, including more than 50 new clients.

As we stand here today, Medecision is trusted by 25 percent of the top 5 IDNs, 40 percent of physicians and 80 percent of the top 10 health plans to deliver the precise insights they need on population and individual risk for optimal, evidence-based interventions for 50 million U.S. consumers.

Before joining Medecision and enabling the movement to liberate healthcare, Deb was an early team member at Truven Healthcare (then MEDSTAT) and served as CEO of several venture-backed healthcare IT firms. These included SolutionPoint®, Inc., a provider of database management and support software products for hospitals and integrated delivery systems as well as GTESS Corporation, a SaaS-provider of claims automation solutions for healthcare payers, and RosettaMed (acquired by Kryptiq), an electronic medical record patient intake application.

Ellen Donahue-Dalton

EVP & Chief Marketing and Chief Experience Officer

Ellen, who leads Medecision’s customer experience (CX), brand and strategic marketing initiatives, holds a profound belief in the ability of the US healthcare system to advance to true person-centered care. She has been part of the executive team since 2011 and has helped the company achieve its status as a leader in integrated health platform solutions. A veteran business and marketing executive, Ellen has partnered with global, national and emerging healthcare service and technology organizations to help define, segment and penetrate markets, as well as build and deploy leading products.

She is particularly passionate about mapping and optimizing the customer experience, and plays a critical role in enabling the success of Medecision’s partnerships with leading health plans and health systems nationwide.

Prior to joining Medecision, Ellen served as a consultant and coach to high-growth organizations while leading Dalton Marketing Group (DMG), a firm she founded in 1998 to provide strategy and marketing program definition and execution. Ellen has also served as vice president, worldwide marketing and divisional president of GTECH Corporation, a leading global gaming and lotteries provider. In that capacity, Ellen helped design and launch consumer products within the $100B regulated global gaming market.

Ellen holds a BS from Dickinson College, an MS from Boston University, has done post-graduate work at Wharton and is design-certified by IDEO. 

Chris LaVictoire Mahai

President, Aveus

With work that has taken her around the world, Chris LaVictoire Mahai has a unique perspective on how leaders drive material and positive outcomes in today’s global marketplace. Clients have called her a “practical brainiac” and “change catalyst” because she partners with them to create customer-driven strategies, diagnose performance and align one with the other in ways that achieve the best outcomes.

Chris is President of Aveus, a global strategy consultancy that is now a division of Medecision. She also leads our People Resources team. And, Chris is an author. In her just released (Fall, 2018) book, BOLD, Mahai provides invaluable insights into the characteristics and requirements of leadership in times of transformational change. In her earlier book, ROAR, Chris explores what it takes to drive the best possible customer and business performance outcomes through the lenses of speed, predictability, flexibility and leverage.

Chris brings a progressive corporate career to Aveus. She held several executive positions at Cowles Media/Star Tribune, leading to a role as senior vice president and general manager of markets and products. Chris also spent nearly fifteen years in the financial services industry, including several executive positions at First Bank (now U.S. Bank).

Chris has also been an active member of corporate and non-profit boards and has a legacy of investments in women-owned and led businesses. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from Hamline University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota, and Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. She also completed the Northwestern University N.M.C. Advanced Executive program.

Jennifer Ponski

EVP & Chief Administrative Officer

As a healthcare and care management trailblazer, Jennifer has led mergers and acquisitions, reshaped corporate strategies and significantly increased market value. She is always ready to find the right answer to a strategic question, operational conundrum or tactical riddle.

This approach fuels Jennifer’s work as the executive vice president and chief administrative officer at Medecision. In this role, she is responsible for the executive stewardship of the company’s financial, compliance, accreditation and real estate assets and leads the organization’s operations in Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Corporate Development. 

Formerly the chief financial officer of Advantage Health Solutions, Inc., Jennifer was responsible for the company’s entry into Medicare Advantage, which grew to one of the company’s largest lines of business. She has also held a variety of CFO positions within Anthem operations, including AllMed and American Health Network. Prior to that, Jennifer was the executive vice president and CFO of Truven Healthcare (then MEDSTAT Group) during its high-growth, entrepreneurial phase.

Jennifer holds an MBA from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Management from Albion College.

Dan Speicher

EVP & Chief Technology Officer

Dan Speicher is helping Medecision liberate healthcare by advancing cloud-based technology products and solutions for mission-critical applications. An expert in Software-as-a-Service, Dan leads our vision, people, process and technologies for Medecision’s robust, secure state-of-the-art platform, as well as its suite of powerful applications, including architecture, development, operations and client success.

Dan was formerly the CTO at Omnitracs, a Dallas-based SaaS company that provides fleet-management IoT solutions to the transportation industry. Previously, he led world-class telematics solutions for Fortune 500 customer at Hughes Telematics. He also spent 20 years at InfoGroup, where he oversaw product development of more than 100 product offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and the development of a leading-edge shared services infrastructure.

Based in our Dallas office, Dan completed his bachelor’s degree at Bellevue University outside Omaha, Neb. and maintains his Midwest connections as an active member of the American Legion Post 001 and AMVets/Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 25 in Omaha.

Prior to embarking on his technology career, he served in the United States Air Force and worked as an intelligence collection instructor, providing timely intelligence reports to battlefield commanders from USAF reconnaissance aircraft.

Duane White

EVP & Chief Product Officer

Duane White is an expert in driving change and this skill has served him well in Medecision’s dynamic, transformational culture. Sometimes quiet, never hesitant and always thinking, Duane loves cracking the thorniest of strategic issues. With the acquisition of Aveus, Duane has moved full time into leading the Medecision product organization. In this capacity, he actively partners with client leaders in designing and executing customer experience and innovative performance strategies.


Before joining Aveus as a principal in 2011 and becoming a co-owner and partner in 2013, Duane held senior leadership positions at UnitedHealth Group, Marquette Financial, Arcadia Financial and U.S. Bank. He has developed, grown, acquired, restructured and repositioned businesses for profitable growth. A common theme in both his consulting and executive leadership work has been creating a cuture of user-driven innovation within established organizations. Duane began his career as a consultant with McKinsey & Company.

Duane holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Economics from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Heartland Financial USA and Minnesota Bank & Trust. He is a former Director of FICO and the Abbott Northwestern Hospital Foundation.
